Rochester New York based, designer Thomas Nelson, designs and builds one of a kind furniture. Nelson is currently finishing his final year in the Bachelor of Fine Arts, furniture design program at Rochester Institute of Technology, School of American Crafts. Nelson has been working with unique woodworking techniques to create beautiful furniture that has a lively presence. His furniture is enjoyed both visually and functionally. He aims to create furniture that is not easily defined by a category or style of design. Nelson has had his furniture featured in many shows at RIT as well as the Memorial art gallery of Rochester, And RIT’s off campus Gallery R.
